UGC NET December 2024: City Intimation Slip Available
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the city intimation slip for the UGC NET December 2024 session. Registered candidates can download it by visiting ugcnet.nta.ac.in. The exam will take place on January 3, 2025. To access the slip, candidates must use their application number and date of birth.
Exam Mode and Eligibility
The UGC NET December 2024 examination will be conducted in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode. It serves as a qualifying test for:
- Junior Research Fellowship (JRF)
- Assistant Professor appointments
- PhD program admissions
Detailed Exam Pattern
Paper 1:
- Marks: 100
- Questions: 50 (MCQs)
- Focus Areas: Teaching/research aptitude, reasoning ability, reading comprehension, and general awareness.
Paper 2:
- Marks: 200
- Questions: 100 (MCQs)
- Focus Areas: Domain-specific knowledge based on the candidate’s chosen subject.
Key Features of the Exam
- Duration: 3 hours (180 minutes) without breaks.
- Language Options: Question papers will be available in English and Hindi, except for language-specific tests. Candidates must select their preferred medium during application, and this choice cannot be changed.
- Final Version: In case of translation ambiguity, the English version will be considered authoritative.
Marking Scheme
- Correct Answer: 2 marks per question.
- No Negative Marking: No marks deducted for incorrect answers.
- Unanswered Questions: No marks awarded.
- Dropped Questions: If any question is found incorrect or dropped, 2 marks will be granted to candidates who attempted it.
