UPSC Civil Services Prelims 2025 Notification
The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will release the Civil Services Prelims Exam 2025 notification on January 22, 2025. Candidates interested in applying can access the official notification and application link on the UPSC website, upsc.gov.in.
Important Details
Alongside the Civil Services notification, the Indian Forest Service Prelims Exam 2025 notification will also be published on the same day. As per the UPSC annual calendar, the last date to submit applications is February 11, 2025.
The Civil Services Prelims examination will take place on May 25, 2025. It will include two objective-type papers, carrying a total of 400 marks. The exam serves as a screening test, and marks from the prelims will not contribute to the final merit list.

- Register online by filling in the required details.
- Log in to your account using the credentials.

Application Fee
As per the 2024 guidelines, candidates (except Female/SC/ST/PwBD candidates) need to pay a fee of ₹100. The fee can be paid through:
- SBI cash deposit
- Net banking
- Visa/Master/RuPay cards or UPI
