Kerala’s Wayanad district has been hit by a series of devastating landslides triggered by torrential downpours, resulting in at least 143 fatalities and 186 injuries. Rescue operations are in full swing as hundreds more are feared trapped.

- Army Deployment: The Indian Army has deployed around 300 personnel in Wayanad for search-and-rescue missions, with an additional 140 on standby in Thiruvananthapuram.
