Theatres Turn Into Party Venues
Karan Johar, the producer of YJHD, shared an exciting clip on Instagram. In the video, the audience can be seen dancing to Badtameez Dil inside the cinema halls. “Turning theatres into rock concerts!” he wrote, expressing his joy over the film’s reception.
A Cult Classic That Still Shines
YJHD features a stellar cast, including Kalki Koechlin, Aditya Roy Kapur, late Farooq Shaikh, Tanvi Azmi, Kunaal Roy Kapur, and Rana Daggubati. The film, known for its catchy songs, travel adventures, and themes of love and friendship, remains close to fans’ hearts.
Interestingly, this was Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone’s first film together after their breakup. They reunited later for Imtiaz Ali’s Tamasha in 2015.
The film also marked Ayan Mukerji’s second collaboration with Ranbir after Wake Up Sid and before Brahmastra: Part One – Shiva.
YJHD continues to be a fan favorite, even a decade after its original release.
