
Preparations for the grand Mahakumbh Mela 2025 have gained momentum. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath visited Prayagraj on Tuesday to review the arrangements. This marked his fifth visit to the city in December.
CM Reviews Key Locations
During his visit, CM Yogi inaugurated a Bio-CNG plant in Naini. He also inspected vital locations like Sangam Erawat Ghat, Sangam Noj Ghat, and the newly built steel bridge parallel to the Ganga Setu.
He later held a review meeting at the Integrated Command and Control Centre (ICCC) Auditorium. Officials updated him on the progress and plans for the event.
Invitation to Dignitaries
The Chief Minister has invited President Droupadi Murmu, Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar, and other dignitaries to the Mahakumbh 2025. The event, held every 12 years, begins on January 13 and ends on February 26, 2025.
Key Dates and Cultural Highlights
The main bathing festivals, called “Shahi Snan,” will take place on:
- January 14: Makar Sankranti
- January 29: Mauni Amavasya
- February 3: Basant Panchami
From January 10 to February 24, the Uttar Pradesh Culture Department will highlight India’s diverse heritage. Twenty stages across Prayagraj will host folk dances and art performances from various states.
Security Measures Enhanced
For security, Uttar Pradesh Police will deploy underwater drones. These advanced measures aim to ensure safety for the millions expected to attend.
The Mahakumbh 2025 promises a grand celebration of spirituality and culture, attracting devotees and tourists worldwide.
