Kejriwal Promises Jobs and Welfare
If re-elected, Arvind Kejriwal will prioritize jobs for Delhi’s youth. Speaking at a “janasabha” in Vishwas Nagar ahead of the February 5 Assembly polls, he emphasized employment as his top agenda for the next five years. “The biggest work I’ll do is to provide jobs for our youngsters,” he declared.
Achievements and Promises
Kejriwal highlighted AAP’s achievements over the past decade, including free electricity, water, and quality healthcare. He also praised the improved condition of government schools in Delhi. “Call your relatives in BJP-ruled states like Uttar Pradesh or Bihar and ask if they get zero electricity bills,” he said.
He outlined key manifesto promises, such as ₹2,100 monthly assistance for women under the “Mahila Samman Yojana” and free healthcare for senior citizens under the “Sanjeevani Yojana.”
Warnings Against BJP
Kejriwal criticized the BJP, alleging they would shut down mohalla clinics and free bus services for women. “If you vote for BJP, you’ll have to pay for bus tickets,” he warned. He accused BJP of neglecting Delhi’s law and order and relying on personal attacks against him.
Tough Contest in Vishwas Nagar
Kejriwal attended the rally with Deepak Singhla, AAP’s candidate from Vishwas Nagar. The constituency is a key battleground, with BJP’s O P Sharma winning the last three elections.
Aiming for a Third Term
AAP is targeting a third consecutive term, having secured 62 out of 70 seats in 2020. The election results are set to be announced on February 8
