Bihar Deputy CM Samrat Choudhary Criticizes AAP for Neglecting Delhi’s Civic Needs
Bihar Deputy CM Samrat Choudhary took a strong stance against the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Sunday. Speaking at a press conference in Delhi, he accused the government of ignoring critical issues like water, sewage, and road infrastructure. He also alleged that AAP has failed to address the concerns of the Purvanchali community, a significant voter base in the city.
Civic Issues Under Scrutiny
Choudhary pointed out unresolved issues plaguing Delhi for over a decade despite AAP’s prolonged tenure. He highlighted persistent water scarcity, unmanaged sewage, and deteriorating roads as glaring examples of the government’s inefficiency.
Covid-19 Response Criticized
The Deputy CM also criticized former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal for his handling of the Covid-19 crisis. “During Covid, the former CM asked people from Bihar and Uttar Pradesh to return to their home states,” he claimed.
Allegations of Neglect
Choudhary accused AAP of prioritizing Rohingya and Bangladeshi immigrants over the Purvanchali community. “On the Purvanchal issue, AAP is focusing on including Rohingyas and Bangladeshis,” he said, urging the community to hold the government accountable.
INDIA Alliance Targeted
He further criticized the INDIA alliance, of which AAP is a part, for its indifference to Delhi’s development and public welfare. “They are not concerned about access to water, employment, or infrastructure for Delhi residents,” he stated.
Women’s Welfare Concerns
Choudhary also questioned AAP’s approach to women’s welfare. He pointed out that major announcements for women were made by party leaders rather than the Chief Minister. “This shows a lack of respect for women,” he added.
Call for Accountability
Choudhary appealed to Delhi residents to recognize who is genuinely working for the city’s betterment. He praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, stating, “Under PM Modi, India and Delhi are advancing.”
Praise for BJP Leadership
He also commended BJP President JP Nadda, highlighting his efforts for Bihar’s welfare. “JP Nadda, born in Bihar, has always worked for its people,” he noted.
AAP Yet to Respond
Choudhary concluded by urging the Purvanchali community to give a strong response to AAP’s alleged failures. “For 10 to 12 years, they’ve governed Delhi, but there’s no work to show for it,” he said.
AAP has not yet responded to Choudhary’s allegations.
