BJP Denies Kejriwal’s Allegation on Ambedkar’s Photo
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has strongly rejected claims made by Arvind Kejriwal and Atishi that the Delhi government removed BR Ambedkar’s photo from Chief Minister Rekha Gupta’s office. BJP leader Amit Malviya accused the AAP chief of indulging in “cheap politics” and spreading misinformation.
Sharing a photograph of CM Rekha Gupta’s office, Malviya wrote on X that photos of Ambedkar and Bhagat Singh were still in place.
“This is the Chief Minister’s office, and the pictures of all great leaders are still hanging. Arvind Kejriwal, accused in the liquor scam, cannot enter the CM’s office, so he is now resorting to false claims to create confusion.”
Kejriwal’s Allegation Sparks Political Storm
Earlier, Arvind Kejriwal had claimed that the new BJP government in Delhi replaced Ambedkar’s photo with PM Modi’s. He called it an insult to Ambedkar’s followers and urged the BJP to reinstall the picture if it was removed.
“The BJP government removed Baba Saheb’s photo and placed PM Modi’s instead. This is unacceptable and has hurt millions of Ambedkar’s followers. You can put the Prime Minister’s photo, but do not remove Baba Saheb’s,” Kejriwal posted on X.
Atishi Calls BJP “Anti-Dalit, Anti-Sikh”
AAP leader Atishi also launched an attack, accusing the BJP of being anti-Dalit and anti-Sikh.
“The BJP has exposed its anti-Dalit and anti-Sikh mentality. They have removed the pictures of Babasaheb Ambedkar and Shaheed Bhagat Singh from the Chief Minister’s office,” she said.
The BJP recently swept the Delhi Assembly elections, winning 48 out of 70 seats and ending AAP’s rule. The war of words between the two parties is expected to continue as AAP faces a political setback in the capital.
