Viral Video Sparks Backlash
A video, recorded on September 17 outside a local BJP office, shows Agarwal walking out of the blood donation room. Notably, this occurs before the doctor inserts a needle or begins collecting blood. Agarwal can be seen laughing as he exits the room without donating any blood or undergoing a blood pressure check.
Public Reaction
The video quickly gained negative attention online. One user shared the clip, captioning it, “Staging a fake blood donation on the PM’s birthday shows how shallow both the politician and the PM’s brand of leadership have become. They focus on orchestrated gimmicks rather than real issues.”
Agarwal’s Response to Accusations
In response to the viral video, Moradabad Mayor Agarwal claimed it was a conspiracy by his political rivals to tarnish his reputation. He explained that he intended to donate blood but was stopped when the doctor discovered he was diabetic.
“On September 17, the BJP youth wing organized a blood donation camp. I expressed my willingness to donate blood. Before proceeding, the doctor asked if I had any medical conditions. I informed him about my diabetes and past heart issues. After hearing this, the doctor advised me not to donate blood, so I left immediately,” Agarwal clarified.
Blood Donation Camp Part of PM Modi’s Birthday Celebration
The blood donation drive was one of several events held across various states to celebrate Prime Minister Modi’s birthday. While the intention was to honor the occasion, this controversy has overshadowed the efforts in Moradabad.
Vinod Agarwal continues to defend his actions, asserting that his rivals are attempting to defame him through this incident.
