Fadnavis Welcomes Shinde to Mahayuti Cabinet
Earlier, Devendra Fadnavis invited Shinde to join the new cabinet. “It’s the wish of Mahayuti workers that Eknath Shinde should be part of this government. I am confident he will join us, and together, we will fulfill our promises to Maharashtra,” Fadnavis said.

Shinde, who earlier aspired to be CM, decided to back BJP’s choice for the top post. He had spent several days in Thane citing health reasons, sparking speculation of rifts within the coalition. However, he returned to Mumbai on Tuesday and confirmed his participation in the new cabinet.
BJP Emerges as the Largest Party
The BJP-Shiv Sena-NCP alliance secured a landslide victory in the recent Maharashtra elections, winning 235 seats. The BJP led with 132 seats, becoming the largest party in the state assembly.

Oath Ceremony Details
Fadnavis, elected as Leader of the Maharashtra BJP Legislative Party earlier today, met Governor CP Radhakrishnan to stake claim for the Mahayuti government. The swearing-in ceremony is set for 5:30 PM on Thursday, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi expected to attend.
Fadnavis expressed confidence in the coalition’s future. “The work done by our Mahayuti government in the past two-and-a-half years is historic. We will continue to make decisions that serve the people of Maharashtra,” he stated.
With this reshuffle, the Mahayuti government aims to strengthen its leadership and deliver on its electoral promises.
