PM Modi Criticizes RJD Over Maha Kumbh and Farmers’ Welfare
Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a sharp attack on RJD leader Lalu Yadav, accusing him of corruption and failing to support farmers. Speaking at a rally in Bhagalpur, Bihar, he said, “Those who ate fodder meant for animals cannot think about farmers’ welfare.”
He also responded to the RJD’s criticism of the Maha Kumbh, stating that those who promoted “jungle raj” have no respect for India’s heritage and faith.
“More people than the entire population of Europe have taken a holy dip in this Maha Kumbh. Yet, some from the ‘jungle raj’ era are criticizing this sacred event. Those against the Ram temple are also spreading negativity about the Maha Kumbh. I am confident that Bihar’s people will not forgive such remarks,” he asserted.
Major Announcements for Farmers
PM Modi reaffirmed the NDA government’s commitment to farmers and announced the 19th installment of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme, which provides financial aid to farmers across India. He also highlighted the government’s efforts to boost agricultural exports.
- Agricultural exports have increased significantly, ensuring better income for farmers.
- Bihar’s Makhana (foxnuts) will soon enter international markets.
- A dedicated Makhana Board will be established, as announced in the latest Budget.
“Makhana is a superfood that deserves global recognition. Our government is committed to making Bihar’s farmers key players in international markets,” he said.
Bihar Elections and Political Message
With the Bihar assembly elections approaching, PM Modi positioned the NDA as the only government working for farmers and protecting India’s cultural heritage. His remarks set the stage for a strong electoral contest in the state.
