Lawrence Bishnoi’s Revenge: A Deadly Grudge
Lawrence Bishnoi has been a household name ever since the murder of Maharashtra’s senior leader Baba Siddique. His name surfaced in a Facebook post, where one of the accused claimed the Bishnoi gang was behind the killing. Bishnoi’s gang is notorious for its involvement in several high-profile extortion and murder cases.
Gangster’s Long-Standing Grudge
Though the police have not officially confirmed Lawrence Bishnoi’s involvement in Siddique’s murder, filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma shared his thoughts on the incident through his social media handle.
Ram Gopal Varma posted, “Lawrence Bishnoi was only five when the deer was killed in 1998, and he has held a grudge for 25 years. Now at 30, his goal is to kill Salman Khan for revenge. Is this extreme animal love or some cosmic joke?”
Bishnoi’s Threats to Salman Khan
The infamous blackbuck poaching case involving Salman Khan happened in 1998. The incident angered the Bishnoi community, which holds the blackbuck in high regard. Fast forward 20 years, Lawrence Bishnoi openly declared his intentions to kill Salman Khan during a 2018 court appearance.
Since then, Salman Khan has faced multiple death threats from Bishnoi and his gang. In April of this year, two shooters reportedly linked to Bishnoi fired outside Salman’s Bandra residence. They were later arrested.
Baba Siddique’s Murder and Gang’s Warning
The alleged connection between Bishnoi and Baba Siddique’s murder became public when a Facebook post claimed, “Anyone helping Salman Khan and the Dawood gang should watch out.” The post came from an individual named Shubuu Lonkar, believed to be Shubham Rameshwar Lonkar, an aide of the Bishnoi gang.
On October 12, Siddique, known to be close to Salman Khan, was shot dead by three gunmen. This incident adds another chapter to the growing list of crimes attributed to Bishnoi’s gang.
Expanding Criminal Network
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has identified Bishnoi as the head of a sprawling crime syndicate with over 700 members across the country. His network, which includes notorious criminals like Goldy Brar and Sachin Thapan, operates from jails and even reaches international locations, including Canada.
Despite being imprisoned since 2015, Bishnoi continues to run his operations from various jails. The NIA claims that his gang has ties with pro-Khalistani groups in Nepal and other neighboring countries.
High-Profile Cases
Bishnoi’s gang has been implicated in several major crimes, including the assassination of popular Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala in 2022. His criminal empire continues to grow, posing a serious threat to law enforcement agencies across India.
