Tanzeem Fatima Acquitted in Electricity Theft Case
Tanzeem Fatima, the wife of Samajwadi Party leader Azam Khan, has received significant relief from the court. A long-standing case accusing her of electricity theft at Humsafar Resort has been dismissed. The court acquitted her after considering the payment of ₹32 lakhs as summons.
Case Background
The issue began on September 5, 2019, when a complaint was lodged against Fatima at the city police station. Junior Engineer Rahul Ranjan from Dungarpur Power House filed a report alleging electricity theft at Humsafar Resort, owned by Fatima. The authorities initiated an investigation, and a charge sheet was filed.

Court Proceedings and Relief
Following the investigation, the police presented the case in the MP-Legislator Sessions Court. Fatima requested the case’s cancellation, citing the payment of ₹32 lakhs in summons. The court reviewed the case and, after a hearing on Monday, ruled in her favor, bringing the matter to an end.
